Accepts loan requests, loan documentation paperwork and closes loans with members. Opens new accounts and maintains existing accounts for credit union membership. Cross-sells credit union products and services. General Department clerical duties as assigned.

Assist potential members by verifying eligibility and establishing savings and/or checking accounts with the Credit Union, adhering to all policies and procedures of Truth in Savings, Funds Availability, REG E, and the Bank Secrecy Act.

Provide orientation in the Credit Union policies and procedures by educating the new member and cross selling various services available through the Credit Union, and encourage the use of as many services as possible.

Assist existing members with account changes and maintenance, including address changes, adding/removing joint members, account number changes, security messages, and account holds, etc.

Assist members in the completion of forms and general questions concerning payroll deduction and direct deposit.

Assist member with Debit Card applications. Approve cards within guidelines and initiate card order. Process card activations.

Handle incoming Member Services related telephone calls.

Assists members with Customer Service related concerns in the areas of account and statement questions.

Perform necessary teller functions for member convenience. Balance cash drawer on a daily basis if used.

Provide individual attention, consultation, and problem solving to the member as needed.

Set up IRA accounts and accept IRA deposits. Explain and answer questions regarding IRA accounts.

Help the member execute forgery affidavits and explain the process.

Execute changes to AD&D Insurance for Members.

Accept Disability and Credit Life Claims.

Receive check orders and review for accuracy.

Serve as Notary Public.

Accept Tax Refund Express packets.

Help members with collateral value information and printouts.

Disburse loan per member’s request. Initiate title documentation for auto loans.

Ensure loan agreements and all related documentation are complete and accurate according to policy.

Initiate necessary documentation for credit card issuance.

Research member inquiries and resolve member loan problems.

Explain the home improvement and mortgage loan process and hand out applications.
