Credit Union Employment
Resources is working with a credit union in the Tulsa area in their search for
a Network Administrator to join their staff. The Network Administrator
will be responsible for the stable operation of the credit union's data and
communications networks, including planning, developing, installing,
configuring, maintaining, supporting, and optimizing all network hardware,
software, and communication links.
Duties:

Administer servers, including e-mail, print, and backup servers
and their associated operating systems and software.
·
Administer security solutions, including firewall, anti-virus, and
intrusion detection systems.
·
Administer all network hardware and equipment, including routers,
switches, hubs, and UPSs.
·
Administer, maintain and operate the credit union’s
telecommunication and data communication systems and networks.
·
Ensure network connectivity of all workstations.
·
Administer all server equipment, hardware and software upgrades.
·
Perform network design and capacity planning.
·
Conduct research on network products, services, protocols, and
standards in support of network procurement and development efforts.
·
Interact and negotiate with vendors, outsourcers, and contractors
to secure network products and services.
·
Develop, implement and maintain policies, procedures and
associated training plans for network resource administration, appropriate use,
and disaster recovery.
·
Practice network asset management, including maintenance of
network component inventory and related documentation and technical
specifications information.
·
Administer and maintain end user accounts, permissions, and access
rights.
·
Perform server and security audits.
·
Perform system backups and recovery.
·
Monitor and test network performance and provide network
performance statistics and reports.
·
Recommend, schedule, and perform network improvements, upgrades,
and repairs.
·
Manage and/or provide guidance to junior members of the team, as
required.
·
Assist in the oversight of automated services, including but not
limited to Online Banking, Bill Payment, Audio Response, Online Statements, the
credit union web site, electronic accounts, and electronic commerce.
·
Maintain current and comprehensive knowledge of laws and
regulations which apply to Credit Union operations.
·
Responsible for the completion of reports required for Management
and Board of Directors meetings, as required.
·
Attend Management meetings as required.
·
Serve as an active member of the Technology Committee.
Qualifications:
·
Degree in computer science and/or 5 years equivalent work
experience.
·
Certifications such as MCSE / MCNE / CLP / CCE recommended.
·
Previous financial institution experience helpful.
·
Working technical knowledge of network and PC operating systems.
·
Working technical knowledge of Lotus Notes and Smart Suite
products and administration thereof preferred.
·
Working technical knowledge of current network hardware,
protocols, and standards.
·
Hands-on hardware troubleshooting experience.
·
Knowledge of applicable data privacy practices and laws.
·
Strong written, oral communication, and interpersonal skills
